Vascular Lesions

Vascular lesions are benign growths of skin cells that appear in many forms, such as hemangiomas and telangiectasias. They pose no direct health risk, though are often aesthetically undesirable.

Hemangiomas are colored clumps of improperly grown large blood vessels that typically show shortly after birth. They grow quickly during the first months after birth, and commonly disappear or lighten with age.

Telangiectasias are thin capillaries that appear as red or purple fine lines in the skin. They are facial spider veins, appearing as a result of many conditions ranging from rosacea to pregnancy.

The treatment of choice for most vascular lesions is the pulsed dye laser, the Candela V-beam Perfecta.  The laser is fast, almost painless and gives reliable improvement with minimal to no downtime.
